Hunter marks its 170th anniversary with a new global campaign starring Kate Moss, bringing together two British icons whose longstanding relationship reflects Hunter's enduring place in style and culture.

ORIGINAL TALL 170 YEAR ANNIVERSARY BOOT

The collection is led by the 170 Year Anniversary Boot in Hunter Green, limited edition celebration and faithful recreation of the first Original Tall Wellington Boot created by Hunter. 

Crafted using the same construction method as the Original Tall was 70 years ago, the boot is made from 28 individual parts and remains true to the hand-crafted techniques that define the iconic silhouette today.

Returning to the original Hunter Green colourway (prior this, all Wellington Boots were made in black) this anniversary edition marks a significant moment in Hunter’s history.

The celebratory boot also features bespoke anniversary gold hardware and the original-style badge bearing ‘Since 1856’, creating a fitting tribute to 170 years of craftsmanship and heritage.

Born in 1856, Hunter has spent over 170 years doing one thing really well, making boots built to last.

It started with vulcanised rubber, a newly patented process that let us craft footwear tough enough for the harshest conditions. It still starts there today. Our Original Boot remains handcrafted from over 28 individually shaped parts, put together with the same care and precision as the very first pair. No shortcuts. Just boots you can feel the difference in from the moment you pull them on.

We source our natural latex from responsibly managed plantations in Indonesia, Vietnam, and Thailand, keeping our supply chain close to reduce our footprint and stay true to the values we've always held, respect for people, animals, and the land.

From muddy fields to city pavements, Hunter boots have been a trusted companion for generations. And as we step into our 170th year, that hasn't changed one bit.
